Financial Aid Information
In recognition of the financial difficulties that many families experienced during the pandemic, and in appreciation of the outpouring of support from parents and donors who were able to help, the Board has again deferred an increase in the minimum tuition charge.

All information is completely confidential, and will be viewed only by the JDBY-YTT Tuition Committee. Financial aid is awarded based on income and family size, with special circumstances taken into consideration.
We recognize that many parents have applied for State Tax Credit scholarships. We hope that every family will receive the maximum grant for which they are eligible. Since this funding is contingent on several factors, including available funding, families should apply to the JDBY-YTT tuition committee for financial aid as usual. Should your family receive STC funding, your tuition obligation will be greatly reduced.
Financial aid determination and tuition statements will be mailed in July. Families that haven’t applied for financial aid are automatically charged full tuition.
Financial aid is available for K-8 tuition ONLY. There is no financial aid for nursery students. However, the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago provides JUF RIGHT START vouchers for students entering a Jewish pre-school for the first time. Currently, they provide $2000 for the first child in the family and $500 for siblings. Please see://www.juf.org/youngfamilies/jufRightStart.aspx for details.
