Financial Aid Information

  1. Go to the financial aid portal at financialaid.jdbyytt.org.
  2. Set up your username and password or enter those you have previously used (not the same as used on the registration portal)
  3. Fill out the application
  4. Upload all of the following documents:
    • All pages of your most recently-filed federal and Illinois tax returns, including your business return, if applicable,
    • All 2023 W-2’s
    • All 2023 1099’s
    • All 2023 K-1’s.

Please keep a copy of all documents that you submit. There is a print button which enables you to print a copy of the application that you submit online.

Contact the Executive Office at 773-465-8889 ext. 600 to request a paper application or click here for a PDF version. Submit the completed application along with all tax documents (see list below), to the Executive Office, addressed to the attention of the Tuition Committee, or email to tuitioncommittee@jdbyytt.org

Applications with complete documentation submitted by 4/16/24 No Charge
Applications with complete documentation received 4/17 – 6/3/24 $100
Applications received after 6/3/24 $250

All information is completely confidential and will be viewed only by the JDBY-YTT Tuition Committee. Financial aid is awarded based on income and family size, with special circumstances taken into consideration.

Financial aid determination and tuition contracts and statements will be mailed as assessments are completed by the Tuition Committee. Families that haven’t applied for financial aid by June 4 will be sent a contract for full tuition.

Financial aid is available for K-8 tuition ONLY. There is no financial aid for Pre-Nursery or Nursery students. However, the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago provides JUF RIGHT START vouchers for students entering a Jewish pre-school (Nursery or Pre-Nursery) for the first time. Currently, they provide $2000 for the first child in the family and $500 for siblings. Please see: http://tinyurl.com/2nawfwsv.
